Last Friday night, we were lucky enough to be invited to Rachel and Ron's house for a Passover seder. This was quite the adventure for our little family of three: it meant keeping Lorelei out way past her bedtime, but we decided to risk it. We had grand plans for putting her down to sleep at her normal time in Ezra's room, then getting her up to drive home later in the evening. So, after putting her in a darling little gingham dress and packing up a fruit salad and lots of baby supplies, we were off to Chicago!
Notice anything about this picture? Is it the lack of a cute gingham dress? That's because Lorelei refused to go to sleep! She was crying with such gusto and sadness about being left alone during the party that we had no choice but to get her and bring her back out with us. Until 9:30pm, when we left. And then she cried all the way home and didn't go to sleep until after 11.
But she had a BLAST during the seder! I wish we had taken some pictures/video of her with Ezra -- he was so enamored with her. (Favorite moments: when he came bounding into the room, kissed her on the head, and said "Hello, pretty girl!" and when he asked me if they could have a playdate together. So sweet!) She was in a good mood for almost the whole evening and enjoyed getting to see all of her relatives, like her great aunt and uncle whom she had never met before.
